Job Overview

RTC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Coordinator to manage and optimize the end-to-end import supply chain for brass rods and related equipment sourced from China and India. The role will focus on cost optimization, import documentation, freight coordination, supplier communication, and continuous improvement of supply chain processes to support automobile manufacturing clients across India.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers to verify import data, pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules, ensuring the most cost-effective sourcing.
• Compare supplier quotations and freight rates to identify and negotiate the lowest landed cost options.
• Prepare, review, and file all import-related documentation and ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and transporters for timely shipment and clearance.
• Track shipments end-to-end and proactively manage delays or discrepancies.
• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, reduce lead times, and streamline import and logistics workflows.
• Maintain accurate records, reports, and MIS related to imports, freight costs, and supplier performance.
• Support ad-hoc supply chain projects, cost-reduction initiatives, and management requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in import logistics, supply chain coordination, or international procurement (manufacturing or automotive sector preferred).
• Strong knowledge of import documentation, INCOTERMS, customs procedures, and freight operations.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar preferred).
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost optimization.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
